Transplant Celebrations!
On July 11, we will celebrate the 21st anniversary of Emily’s double lung transplant.
Earlier this year, the gift of life touched Emily’s family again but in a different way. On March 24, Emily’s cousin Jeff, donated part of his liver to his friend Luke, who would die without this vital organ. Who knew, back when these pictures were taken, that Emily and Jeff would have one more special thing in common - one, Emily, having received the gift of life, and Jeff, having given the gift of life!
Emily would be (and is) proud of Jeff, Luke and all organ donors and recipients.
